Aim:
A 5-day course giving theoretical
and practical knowledge on tools available for genetic characterization
and epidemiological analysis of C. botulinum.
Topics included:
- real-time PCR for detection of C. botulinum
- amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP)
- comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) analysis with DNA microarrays
- structure and function of the neurotoxin cluster genes
The workshop will include both lectures and practical laboratory work.

Accommodation and Travel:
Accommodation and meals will be arranged and prepaid for all participants between 8-12 December (4 nights). Information on the accommodation will appear at the website in November.
Travel costs* will be reimbursed after the workshop upon production of original receipts. (*- the average travel expenses are assumed to be 454 EURO)
