SAM Honours Professor Brian Duerden

On 16th December 2008, BrianDuerden was presented with a SAM plaque by the Acting Director of the HPA Centre for Infections Professor Mike Catchpole.

The plaque read " To Professor Brian Duerden, To acknowledge your support and leadership of the Society for Anaerobic Microbiology and to celebrate your outstanding achievements in the field throughout your career".

Brian was truly surprised and very touched by the gesture and says it will occupy a high spot in his new office as he takes yet another role in DoH very early in the New Year.
